Yet another cool link featuring detailed specs and performance capabilities of the Bugatti 'Veyron'. A must read, over 7 pages of info along with links for more information on this lean machine. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/bugatti.htm" title="http://auto.howstuffworks.com/bugatti.htm" target="_blank"http://auto.howstuffworks.com... [too bad it runs on gas :x and with a price tag of $1 million]
PS: I personally dislike all fuel consuming vehicles that emit harmful chemicals, this post is strictly to admire the engineering feat of this car. My dream car would be Mr Tesla's electric car. Visit the link here. Imagine no electric or phone bills. http://keelynet.com/energy/teslafe1.htm" title="http://keelynet.com/energy/teslafe1.htm" target="_blank"http://keelynet.com/energy/te...

04.26.04 (4:37 pm) [edit]
Had a java project due this Wednesday, but thanks to a brave soul in class who stood up to the Professor. The entire class got an extended period of time for the due date which is now next Monday. So instead of worrying tonite, I shall calmly watch more episodes of Full Metal Panic :)

Hey! to everyone reading this. Made some new buddies at tBlog.com, making this a fun place and I was here just to find an alternative to Xanga. That bloody Xanga! Studying right now for my class at 16:30 hrs, can't wait for the coming weekend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I missed the movie night event organised by my college, it was this Sunday, 25th. I thought it was for the 29th, oh well the movie that we were going for was Kill Bill vol2 and it was being organised by the International Students club. The only reason I wanted to go was to meet some shy asian girls and observe their reactions to the movie. You see I don't enjoy going to theaters, ppl don't keep quiet and theres always a joker passing comments, plus recent research shows that the sound output is way too high and has an adverse effect on the ears in the long run. :( Guess some other time then. Haha.

1 more book down in Lit class
04.23.04 (7:59 pm) [edit]
Hooray! We have finally finished reading the book 'The Sorrows of Werther' by Goethe for our Comparative Literature class, honestly that book was getting on my nerves. :? Maybe I just can't appreciate good books, anyways that book was way too 'touchy-feely' material for me. I'd prefer something along the lines of Antigone, a tragic greek play, written in great style nonetheless. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ Haha tweaked around on my old Xanga blog and made a recent post there.

always fasten ur seatbelt: farewell to the nissan 200SX
04.17.04 (8:53 pm) [edit]
Early this morning between 12.00-12.30 hrs my bro had an accident on the freeway, causing his car to spin while still rushing onward at about 65 mph. He says another car side-swiped him and he was in the rightmost 3rd lane when this happened, but during those few seconds he went to the leftmost lane hit the divider and finally rebounded back to the corner of the right lane. Best part is during this whole time he didn't touch a single car! The air bag deployed but was more like a de-flated balloon, the hood was crumpled and neither opened nor closed, the right door didn't close anymore, the right front and rear wheels were bent into the body of the car. However the seat-belt proved to be the best safety measure. He got bruises to his shin and a whiplash to the neck.
The first tow truck that pulls a car using it's front wheels was of no use and me, my Dad and Bro ended up sleeping in the jeep all the while waiting for the 2nd tow truck to show up, which arrived at 8 am. We salvaged whatever was still in one piece from the car like speakers, cd changer etc and then junked the car, couldn't leave the car on the road as there was a notice saying, $ 25,000 fine for dumping The Nissan was more than 10 yrs old, the repair costs would have been higher than the selling price for the car. And what w/ high insurance and all, we decided to junk it.
In other news, the two books, "How to Draw Anime & Game characters Vol 1-2" that I ordered from Amazon.com arrived today. [grinz] I love free shipping!

my kind of girl...

Think girls are scaredy cats and faint-hearted? Well think again! :) ------------------------- ------------------------- ---------- Patient sees heart split open!
PTI [ THURSDAY, APRIL 08, 2004 12:34:16 PM ]
COIMBATORE: Claimed to be the first of its kind in the country, a city-based hospital has successfully performed an ‘awake open heart surgery’ on a 21-year old woman, who witnessed the entire procedure.
The woman, with congenital heart disease - a hole in the heart - was operated on Wednesday, when she was totally conscious, a release from K G Hospital reads. She was given an epidural special medical injection near spinal cord, blunting the sensation all over the chest and abdomen, chief cardiac surgeon said. The patient was completely awake, able to talk fluently, and moved the legs and hands, but without any pain sensation.
The surgeon said that a 10 cm long incision was made on the breast bone, which was cut open with electric saw, to expose the heart and put on heart lung machine. After stopping the heart, the upper chamber (atrium) was opened and the large hole was identified and closed, he said.
The woman watched her heart beat in the cardiac monitor and observed the total stoppage of her own heart and the completion of the procedure, the surgeon said, adding she also observed restarting of the heart and "enjoyed the whole procedure with a smile and absolutely without any pain."

I'm still unsure why I really need a Blog. I don't have much to say, hoping I will, in the future.
My 2nd blog after quiting Xanga, cos they didn't have too many customizing options for a free account, plus you need to be a Xanga member just to leave comments on a friend's blog. I found that real annoying Folks who know me, keep visiting this page for news on me and my interests. I won't be posting very often though, only selective events, incidents will be posted (heh, and not much happens in my life).
