everchanging mood
05.31.04 (11:51 am)   [edit]
[sigh] tried some new color options last night, made a close copy of tBlog's main page colors; white background with blue fonts.
Then changed to the current one this morning. Will probably change the layout again...

I guess you can see the boredom take ahold of me, must find something else to do :)

Found out the title for a wrestling game on the Super Nintendo from B.A.D. I still think this game is one of the best Wrestling games evermade where gameplay and pure fun is concerned.

Sure a lot of the new Wrestling titles feature awesome graphics, great voice acting, music and whatnot. But I feel they lack in the fun-factor.

Wrestlemania on the Super Nintendo features some wild and totally exaggerated moves; from Doink pounding his opponents with a giant Mallet to Razor Ramon using his hands as razors, literally. The animations are the best part; hit Bret Hart a couple of times and you see pink hearts falling on the ring, same thing with Ramon, only in his case you see jewelry.

The commentators drive you into a frenzy to pummel your opponents silly. You hear things like, "Hit him! Hit him!" in frantic tones. For those who have never played this title and want to experience silly gaming at it's best, here's the link for the emulator and the roms. [some pr0n ads featured on this site]

Rom-World

I found this emulator a wee bit harder to configure than the Sega Genesis one.

For B.A.D: Hey, Am having a hard time working out combos on the PC. Those bastards put me in a hold and carry out a 6-hit combo.

[finished my finals yesterday and caught a movie. got plenty of lazy days to look forward to.]

saw shrek2 with friends at a real cool theater; wasn't crowded and no noisy kids throwing pop-corn around the place.
This movie is hilarious a definite must-see, the plot is mainly romance-driven this time unlike the previous classic one, where the unlikely hero must rescue the damsel in distress. You'll notice a lot of spoofs of various popular films in this movie, which are very neatly tied in with the storyline. Just thinkking about those sequences makes me laugh. Sadly, seeing this movie just once isn't enough :( So, will rent it once it's released on DVD and might even buy it if spotted on sale at Walmart! lol

The coolest character in this film for me, without a doubt was Puss in Boots, voice acted by Antonio Banderas. A couple of Antonio's characters from his films are enacted by Puss, haha. That is one crazy cat!! Now if only cats were loyal like Puss, I would consider having one as a pet. Fat, lazy, snobbish slobs those cats. Only like 'em cos they make excellent ninjas.

Tried table-tennis after the movie and found out that I suk, but I wasn't all that bad, managed to keep the ball on the table for a couple of rounds. Never thought that game could be addictive. Thanks for the fun A

neat photo slideshow with music

This pic was the one that I identify with the most, before I had a computer I used to spend hours during the day & night reading books. Now, suddenly I don't seem to have time for books.

Anyways there are 6 different slideshows with different themes. You can select them from numbered links above the pictures.
http://www.msnbc.com/c/0/186/798/ssMain.asp?fmt=child&sld=0&res=1 0x7" title="http://www.msnbc.com/c/0/186/798/ssMain.asp?fmt=child&sld=0&res=1 0x7" target="_blank"http://www.msnbc.com/c/0/186/...

If this link doesn't seem to be working,
A) goto http://www.msn.com
B) right at the top there will be a mini slideshow going on.
choose the one which features "The Week in Pictures"
C) once your on that new page, scroll all the way to the bottom,
and choose the slideshow named America 24/7

There is something for everyone here. Enjoy.

Last weekend while searching for mp3's from the Sega Genesis game Contra:HardCorps, I decided to check if any soul was selling his old game console along with a few games. Turns out there are a few people selling their hardware and games on amazon.com.
You can get a 'like new' and 'in working order' sega genesis package for around $20, I was like Wow! I must have one of those to re-live my high-school days.
After a 2-day debate whether it's worth to hang onto things from the past, I remembered about Emulation!! So did a quick search on Google and here are some links for emulators and roms. Enjoy.

Note:
To Joe,
I now have Rock n Roll racing on the PC
To B.A.D,
Am gonna get that crazy wrestling game and beat the CPU silly.
Ah! What sweet days we had at Apollo.

1 more book down in Lit class
05.08.04 (4:44 pm)   [edit]
Phew! Done reading another book, but this one was much more to my liking. It was Franz Kafka's 'The Metamorphosis', http://www.randomhouse.com/cr... folks this is how I imagine horror novels were in those days. Still this story makes a very interesting reading. I thank my Professor :)

The story explores the writer's relationship with his Father and how the fictional character Gregor Samsa is treated by his Family.

For Tuesday it's another book, 'Too Loud A Solitude' by Bohumil Hrabal.
