bad music in games
09.26.04 (6:00 pm) [edit]
Was taking a short break from studies and stumbled on this clip from the gaming show X-Play.

I felt so bad on Morgan's last remark, am sure she wasn't serious, afterall she is a big gaming fan of Japanese games too.
Well was browsing through and found this rather steamy clip on the game review of 'Sexy Beach 2' that means there is a Part1 too. Got to admire the dedication of the programmers who wrote code for this game. I salute you, comrades!!

Found this today while surfing, although nothing new has been found... The two videos below provide the scoop on (ilovebees.com / halo2) mystery from the very begining, in brief.

attention: kryptonite-lock users
09.17.04 (5:17 pm) [edit]
Apparently the cylinder design kryptonite lock used for personal use and vending machines can be opened with a simple plastic ball pen...
The story with video clip demonstrating a lock being picked, here.
Funny thing, last night on Adult Swim I was watching Lupin the 3rd, and the story for that episode was Lupin cracking the best safe in the world and thus ruining the reputation of the Safe-Designer.
Clearly shows we must all watch more anime. I rest my case.

mission completed: Far Cry
09.16.04 (10:52 am) [edit]
[Click picture for official site]
Finally finished the game Far Cry sometime last week. Although that is just one picture from the game, the graphics featured in this game are awesome. The AI engine in this game is very cool and tough to beat at higher difficulty settings.
This game is set on a remote chain of islands, so there are beautiful beaches aplenty, but you wont get to enjoy them. Dying is something that happens very often in this game unlike Halo, in which I never used cheats.
Now that some of my free time is free, I guess I can do other things like study ^_^

liquid nitrogen
09.09.04 (12:01 pm) [edit]
Well am home for a short while,
Finished my Calculus class at 2:30pm, next class is at 8:00pm. Quite a long break huh? Couldn't help it, those were the only classes available. Yesterday in the Physics Lab we conducted an experiment to test "Temperature dependance for conductivity of metals".
:!: We tested the resistance of a copper wire Vs a platinum wire at near -200 C. Thats where the liquid nitrogen comes in. This stuff is really cool, it gives off thick white fumes, which is slightly heavier than air, so they dont float away like smoke from incense sticks...Instead they pour out from the container (much like foam when a soda drink is poured too fast into a glass) and glide on the surface of the table in all directions away from the container.
Those brave enough to place their hands on the table, said the fumes were ice cold, probably much colder. I was so wishing I had brought my camera to class, would have got some great pix. Surprinsingly the probe that was inserted into the liquid N2 didnt break- off as we usually see in the movies...( think Terminator2: Judgement Day, Aliens4, Demolition Man, Jason Vs Freddy). Perhaps it would have, had I quickly taken the probe out from the thermos and whacked it on the table.
< Should have tried something, now I might never know. Curses!!>

new addition to my fave anime's list
09.07.04 (12:20 pm) [edit]

Ages ago I had seen the 1st episode of Azumanga Daioh, and although I enjoyed it tremendously, the episodes were very hard to get on K-lite. Lucky for me a friend from college lent me the DVD's for this series.
Each and every single episode will leave you aching from laughter. [sigh] Must return to my books now...
[edited addition, 12/09/2004.]
This series as the picture suggests is set in a High School, from episodes 1 - 26 we get to take a look at the ordinary lives of these girls and the extra-ordinary events that place in school everyday.
Each character in this anime is unique and absolutely believable in their individual strengths and weaknesses. The site mentioned above has further details on the characters and the first episode.

new semester-blues syndrome
09.04.04 (10:50 am) [edit]
[sigh]
First week of college is over and am already wishing for holidays. Good thing we have labor day off. Was lucky to find some good books at my college book sale, I found two on computers; web designing and networking.
And three on psychology; there is one which explains the psychology of prejudice, another on the identity of an individual and society in general by observing dressing styles and social trends etc, and the third is on social psychology, explaining the reason and meaning of behaviour patterns in work places.
I enjoyed my 3 months of summer, now I play catch-up with my Math and Computer classes :)
